Meet Recorder is a Chrome/Brave browser extension that records Google Meet audio and saves it to your local device or your own Google Drive. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is used.
Meet Recorder has no backend server. It does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, recordings, or usage information with the developer or any third party.
When you enable Google Drive saving, the extension requests the following OAuth scopes:
drive.file – to upload MP3 recordings to a folder you choosedrive.metadata.readonly – to list folders in My Drive for the folder pickerdrive.readonly – to list Shared Drives, only if you opt in to Shared Drives accessThese permissions are used solely to provide the features described above. Tokens are stored locally in your browser and are never sent to the developer.
The extension stores your preferences (save destination, selected folder, sign-in token) in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. This data never leaves your device.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
